So Petros then began to speak aloud:
“I re-a-lize now that this God quite true-
ly treats each group of people (as his crowd)
the same. For all who fe-ar him and do
what's right are then acceptable to him,
no matter groups that they're belonging to.
You know God's word that he sent out to win
the people of Israel, proclaiming News.
Good News of peace through one good leader, Lord
of all, who's God's appointed / chosen / Christ /
anointed, and he's been named - (Salvador
which means "who saves", or "Jesus" will suffice!)
You must already know, (yourselves not daft),
that word that worked its way from Galilee
& through all of Judea, that is aft-
-er John, proclaimed the washing that must be:
how God anointed Jesus Nazarene,
with Holy Spirit and with God's own pow'r,
and ev'rywhere he went then, he has been
both doing good & healing, ev'ry hour,
all folk oppressed by devilish designs
because the God was "with him" constantly,
and all the places that he went in time,
and he would trust God past biology.
We know that biological life needs
stuff streaming in, like water, food, and air,
compared to God's own Life which is the seed
of which this life's a metaphore we share.
So God was with him, God's Life there himself,
that's living in his body as a tent,
although it didn't show up in great wealth
(except to those who saw it where he went).
We saw it with our eyes and here declare
these things were done in all the regions he
went with the Jews, Jer-u-sa-lem (place where
they chose his fruit: "Death - hanging on a tree")
They made their choice with him. But God did too,
undoing death, as stories said he would
at end of our Book One, before Book Two,
to start a new creation with a good
man in the centre garden, a new birth!
- but this time one who'll (when he hears the sound
of God his Father walking on the earth
he'll choose to walk with him, he'll follow 'round
about where God is going (- to his kids
espesh'ly those in trouble, or in need)
and work in partnership with God, eyelids
wide open, and then scatter out good seed.
This is the one God raised up on the third
day after, and made him to then appear
(not to all people, as a human herd)
but to his chosen witnesses (who’d hear
and see, and then report, so truth is said)
to us who after, ate and drank with him
- that’s since his rising from among the dead.
And he instructed us, not just a whim,
to then proclaim to people, testify-
ing fully that he is the very Head,
who’s been appointed by the God on High -
"High Judge of all", both living and the dead!
To him the prophets all bear witness, that
forgiveness of all human sin’s achieved
through trusting in his living name. How zat!
Humanity is free once it’s received.

So I sent for you immediately, and it was good of you to come. Now we are all here in the presence of God to listen to everything the Lord has commanded you to tell us.’
Then Peter began to speak: ‘I now realise how true it is that God does not show favouritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right. You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. You know what has happened throughout the province of Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached – how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. ‘We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a cross, but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen. He was not seen by all the people, but by witnesses whom God had already chosen – by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.’ While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, ‘Surely no-one can stand in the way of their being baptised with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.’ So he ordered that they be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days. Acts 10:33-48 NIVUK
Peter began to speak: “I now realize that it is true that God treats everyone on the same basis. Those who fear him and do what is right are acceptable to him, no matter what race they belong to. You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, proclaiming the Good News of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. You know of the great event that took place throughout the land of Israel, beginning in Galilee after John preached his message of baptism. You know about Jesus of Nazareth and how God poured out on him the Holy Spirit and power. He went everywhere, doing good and healing all who were under the power of the Devil, for God was with him. We are witnesses of everything that he did in the land of Israel and in Jerusalem. Then they put him to death by nailing him to a cross. But God raised him from death three days later and caused him to appear, not to everyone, but only to the witnesses that God had already chosen, that is, to us who ate and drank with him after he rose from death. And he commanded us to preach the gospel to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God has appointed judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets spoke about him, saying that all who believe in him will have their sins forgiven through the power of his name.” While Peter was still speaking, the Holy Spirit came down on all those who were listening to his message. The Jewish believers who had come from Joppa with Peter were amazed that God had poured out his gift of the Holy Spirit on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speaking in strange tongues and praising God's greatness. Peter spoke up: “These people have received the Holy Spirit, just as we also did. Can anyone, then, stop them from being baptized with water?” So he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay with them for a few days. Acts 10:33-48 GNTD
