according to Mark - 22

Pericope 26 - another likeness

And he was saying that: "God's rule or reign,
his leadership, is likened unto - what?
What parable shall we present to frame
it, so it's seen to be somehow like God?

It's simile might be a mustard seed,
which when it has been sown upon the earth
might be the smallest seed of crop or weed
to fall upon the earth, that yet gives birth...

… thus: when it has been sown, it grows up and
becomes the greatest of all garden plants
with branches big enough that birds can land
upon them from the sky, in shade, perchance.

Mark 4:30-32  NA28

He kept on speaking to them all "the word"
as much as they were able then to hear,
And with such - many parables they heard
to the extent that they had come quite near

to him, b'coz he would not speak to them
without the use of parables, but in
times private, with his own disciples when
they asked him, he'd explain to help them win.

Mark 4:33-34 NA28
