Mark tells THE (Real Ruler's) "Good-News". Chapter 1 [Pericope 10 ]

Pericope 10 - Jesus' Personal Coaching (keeping a cutting edge on his strategy, tactics, and priorities).

And very early, while the darkness stayed,

he, having risen up, went out, & left

to a deserted place, where he then prayed,

and Simon & those with him (now bereft)

went after him, and having found him say

to him that "Ev'ryone now looks for you!"

And he says to them "Let's be on our way,

to neighb'ring towns - I've heralding to do!

B'coz this is why I have come about."

So he was heralding in synagogues

around all Galilee, and throwing out

the demons (which plagued them, as many frogs).

35Καὶ πρωῒ ἔννυχα λίαν ἀναστὰς ἐξῆλθεν καὶ ἀπῆλθεν εἰς ἔρημον τόπον κἀκεῖ προσηύχετο. 36καὶ κατεδίωξεν αὐτὸν Σίμων καὶ οἱ μετ’ αὐτοῦ, 37καὶ εὗρον αὐτὸν καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ ὅτι πάντες ζητοῦσίν σε. 38καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς· ἄγωμεν ἀλλαχοῦ εἰς τὰς ἐχομένας κωμοπόλεις, ἵνα καὶ ἐκεῖ κηρύξω· εἰς τοῦτο γὰρ ἐξῆλθον.

39Καὶ ἦλθεν κηρύσσων εἰς τὰς συναγωγὰς αὐτῶν εἰς ὅλην τὴν Γαλιλαίαν καὶ τὰ δαιμόνια ἐκβάλλων. Mark 1:35-39 NA28

Mark tells THE (Real Ruler's) good-news. Chapter 1 [Pericopae 8&9]

Pericopae 8&9 - Jesus heals (privately) on the Sabbath; the public hears & comes to him after Sabbath is over (i.e. @ sunset).

And straightaway from  synagogue they went

into the home of Simon and Andrew,

along with James and John, but news was sent

(and straightaway) to him, from those who knew;

for Simon's lady's mum was there a-bed

with fever (hot, and weak, she could not stand)

& having come to her (she's not yet dead)

he raised her up, when taken by the hand -

the fever left (behind?), & she went on

(as she was want to do) and served them all!

But when the sun had set (the day was done,

their sabbath day was over), at night fall,

the town began to bring to him (what for?)
the sick, and demonized, they brought them all,

until was all the city at the door

a crowd (was all together - not so small)!

He healed the many sick, of various

diseases, many demons he threw out,

but wouldn't let them speak (vicarious-

ly), just because they knew him (without doubt)!

Pericopae 6&7; contrasting responses; the people & a demonized man. (Overall Jesus' Authority displayed)

They went into Capernaum, and straight-

away in (Sabbath) synagogue he taught.

Authority in teaching quite elate-

ed folk, unlike the Doctors of the Law.

(To confrontation, then the tone was changed.

How would he handle shouting out and such?

For) straightaway a man who was deranged

with unclean spirit, cried out (very much):

"So what have you to do with all us who

are here, you Nazarene? Would you destroy?

I know that you're God's Holy One here too!

But Jesus cut him off (was he annoyed?):

"Shut up (the mouth), get out of him!" he said.

Convulsing him the unclean spirit cries, 

comes out, and leaves the man. The folk then read

amazement, questions, in each other's eyes.

So, "What is this that's hap-pen-ing?" They asked.

"New teaching, with authority." They said.

"He orders unclean spirits, and - so fast

they must obey." And news went on ahead

& straightaway, throughout the Galilee

(, that district of the Jewish landscape and 

the Roman region in the North you see,

things started "hotting up" throughout that land).
