Pericopae 20,21 - One family (physical metaphor, of spiritual people of God). Divided we disintegrate; United in our new identity we will… [United we …(stand our ground), divided we … (will lose it)!] {How Jesus handles accusations from "his own", that could disable him.}
He comes into a house, and once again
a crowd assembles such that there's no way
for them to eat some bread, he, or his men!
So those belonging to him (family)
on having heard of this, went out to seize
(take charge of) him, for they were saying then
"He's (mad) - out of his mind!" "He's ...", & "He's…"
And having come down from Jerusalem
those teachers of the law were saying that
"He has Be-el-ze-boul!", that "..by the Prince
of demons, he throws out the demons." (Splat!)
These accusations make me kinda wince!
How does one handle mud that's thrown at one?
It's good to see how Jesus handles this,
he leads me on. I've only just begun!
I see his true responses in a mist.
And having called them in, in parables,
he says to them this stuff. I see it now
he's casting seed, to "feed" the arables -
the soils that take truth in - grow it somehow!
"Now, how's the satan able to throw out
the satan? As we've seen in o-ur own
long his-tor-y, strength doesn't come about
that way; our Kingdoms, North and South, have shown!
A kingdom that divides and works against
itself; that kingdom surely cannot stand!
And once a house, against itself, its strength,
starts pouring - 't won't continue in the land.
[These weren't just Greekish theories, or ideals.
They knew these from ol' Jacob and Esau,
and Isaac, Ishmael (those sent on their heels),
and kings like Herod, David's sons, and more.]
And if the Satan's risen up against
himself, has been divided, he won't be
now able to continue standing, friends! -
His end that's soon upon him, we shall see!
But, here is an alternative inter-
pretation. If you'll let yourself imag-
-in, no-one will be able to enter
the house of one who's strong to do damage,
and take away his goods. That is, until,
he first disables, binds the strong man up.
And then he can just plunder it at will,
and take things as he wants, slow or abrupt!
So, "Yes," I say to you, "all will be left",
(that's overlooked, ignored, not talked about;
not hidden in some bureaucratic cleft,
or ledger so one day it can come out) -
the sons of Adam (all humanity),
whatever sins and blasphemies they heft
into God's good clean world, if they've blasphemed!
There's one group though, who will be left bereft:
Whoever calls that spirit of the God
(that leads to un-bureaucracy) an e-
vil one, we should not tolerate. Then, what
could they expect, if their "will" then, will be..?
...well, done!? With no referent over them.
The god of their world has declared it's mind!
There's no deliv'rance, or remission then
left, from what's been recorded. None to find!
Their only chance was from that holy one,
who loves them and will do what must be done,
to help them enter into all the fun
of life as he would have it with his son's
& daughters, whom he'd love to grow up free,
to walk in cool of eve'ning with them too,
see other ways for a new world to be,
and bring them right about - with me and you!
If you would call that spirit "Blasphemy!",
the holy one who brings forgiveness to
his children, then it seems clear now to me
remission or deliv'rance aren't for you!
Until the age (has finished, or has come?)
Your guilt remains, forever, you cut all
the options to remove all sin, and some,
and nothing will be left to help it fall!
For they would say "He has an unclean spir-
-it. So he warned them of the dangers there.
I wonder if they ever stopped to hear
it? Think about it on their own somewhere?
Along his Mum, and brothers come, and they
outside are standing (hence, they might stand out)
and sent to him a call (what did they say?)
And sitting there around him was a crowd,
they said to him "Behold, your mother, and
your brother's, [and your sister]…seek you out-
side, you must go to them! We understand.
Now, his response might make him seem a lout:
And answering them, he says "Who is my ..
..my mother? And my brothers? Where are they?
And having looked around on those who'd try
to understand and act in the right way,
who're right now in a circle sitting round
about him, he went on to say some more.
They had a village lifestyle, where folk found
God's goodness in one's family - for sure.
Can you imagine tones he might have used
to say these words? Was he belittling them,
or feigning looking round about, confused,
then seeing in their faces his own kin?
He went on then to say to them "Behold!
My mother and my brothers! Here they are!"
{This works within me, makes me kinda bold.
When I look up to who is my fa-ther.}
...
Who-ever does the will of God on earth,
they are my brother, sister, mother, Yes!
You see this might imply some kind of birth's
occurred. The doing of God's will's the test!
